At Stories of Survival, we are dedicated to showcasing Taiwan's unique and endangered species through youth-led stories that raise awareness and encourage protection and urgency around conservation.

Professor Yu-Feng Hsu(徐堉峰)
We are honored to welcome Professor 徐堉峰, a distinguished expert in entomology whose research has greatly advanced our understanding of Taiwan’s insect biodiversity. With years of experience studying butterflies and their ecological roles, he brings unique insight into the lives of Taiwan’s broad-tailed swallowtail butterflies. He helped us unravel their mysteries and shed light on the challenges and opportunities in conserving the butterfly.

Professor Ling-Ling Lee(李玲玲)
We are honored to welcome Professor Ling-Ling Lee, an authority in mammalian ecology and conservation biology at National Taiwan University. Over the past two decades, she has dedicated her research to Taiwan’s Eurasian otters—particularly those in Kinmen—making her one of the few scholars with long-term, in-depth expertise in the species. Using methods like scat DNA analysis, trail-camera monitoring, and field surveys, Professor Lee has traced otter population distributions, genetic diversity, and habitat shifts—crucial data for protecting this vulnerable species.
We are thrilled to have her with us to shed new light on the Eurasian otter’s survival story.
